Description:
This session will challenge existing concepts of BIM. The landscape surrounding BIM will be explored to examine other factors that might contribute to cooperative ways of working.
The course will project BIM as more than simply a software platform. The creation of better quality information, better business and project team preparation and a positive contractual atmosphere are crucial to achieving a better outcome for all stakeholders using BIM.
The course will illustrate how BIM is adaptable to differing scales of mainstream practice. By the end of the course participants will have an understanding of:
-
A wider range of ingredients/tools that can be used as a BIM environment
-
The integration of BIM into a business strategy
-
Implementing BIM to differing levels on projects
-
Practical steps to incorporate terms into forms of appointment and contracts.
This course is suitable for senior practitioners, architects and their associated professional colleagues at all levels who are interested in further developing business and project initiatives using BIM methodologies.
