Description:
The School's Client Forum in partnership with RIBA's Small Practice Committee hosted an evening seminar addressing School Design and the difficulties Small Practices face in public sector procurement. This event took place at 5.30 Monday July 6 at the RIBA
Hosted by Paul Fletcher CDA, speakers included Jane Briginshaw, DSCF Schools Capital Design Team, John Lyall of John Lyall Architects, Paul Hanbury of Navigant Consulting and Richard Hulme of Crispin and Borst.
The Building Schools for the Future programme (BSF) precludes Small Practices from being involved due to the size of some of the projects and need for practices to be registered as part of a Framework Agreement. The purpose of this event is to explore opportunities within the education sector, particularly the Primary Capital Programme, and broker links between practices and school design stakeholders.
