This afternoon event will start with an introduction to silicate mineral paints which are environmentally friendly, sustainable, protective and decorative breathable surface coatings. The seminar will discuss how mineral paints provide a wide range of solutions to common problems associated with conventional film forming acrylic coatings in addition to being highly decorative. Mineral Paints give specifiers confidence in the longevity of decoration and can be used in restoration, conservation, new build and re-decoration projects. We will also look at Mineral Paints ‘in practice’ with a mixture and variety of project examples.

After a short break for refreshments there will be a focused look at some of the more recent developments in mineral paint technology such as silica-sol technology, pollution reducing photocatalytic additives and colourwashes and translucent finishes. At the end of the seminar there will be time for questions and further discussions about the afternoon’s topics.
