Rather like education, housing is one of those recurring issues that successive governments and their various outreach departments continue to meddle with, without actually achieving real change or improvements. Architects need to be able to respond to the ever changing housing market, policy directives, energy targets, design standards, budgets and strategies, and to be equipped to respond to the huge task of improving our existing housing stock.
