Description:
An exhibition that examines the work of one of Britain's finest architectural and social photographers, John Maltby (1910–1980), whose archive is held by the RIBA Library Photographs Collection.
Beginning with a commission for the Odeon cinema chain in the 1930s, Maltby enjoyed a long-lasting and diverse career that embraced work for architects, manufacturers and designers, among them Tecton, the Design Research Unit and Sir Terence Conran, in addition to a clutch of magazines from 'The Architect & Building News' to 'Modern Woman'.
