Description:
Photographs of the simple, robust furniture designed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret with pure, minimalist lines, and made from local materials, commissioned for public buildings in Chandigarh, India and still in use today.
Examples are shown in some of the celebrated buildings that make up this iconic modernist city, including the Secretariat Building and University Library.
From the Chandigarh Catalogue, a study by architect Jonathan Nicholls and artist Patsy Craig, which documents the city of Chandigarh as it is today.
