Due to the summer closure of the Library’s Reading Room, the exhibition will be closed to the public between Saturday 27 July and Monday 2 September 2013. It will reopen at 10am on Tuesday 3 September.

During weekdays, construction work will be taking place for the new ground floor gallery
opening in spring 2014, which will showcase original material from the RIBA collections. Therefore there may be some background noise during your visit.
The great traditions and charateristics of Indian architecture across the centuries are the focus of this display drawn from the unique RIBA collections.
Through 19th and 20th Century photographs and drawings, it features some of the great buildings of India, as well as lesser known structures and places.
It reveals venacular traditions, intimate spaces and Asian influences - references to which can be found in the work of architect Charles Correa
