A Convenient Truth: Urban Solutions from Curitiba, Brasil USA 2006, Giovanni Vaz del Bello.

The city of Curitiba has demonstrated for the past 40 years how to transform problems into solutions. As part of the BFI Of Dreams and Cities - Architecture in Film Season|, enjoy this informative, inspirational documentary that shares practical ideas to create environment-friendly and cost-effective changes in cities worldwide based on Curitiba's successful model, focusing on innovations in transportation, recycling, affordable housing, seasonal parks, and the processes that transformed Curitiba into one of the most liveable cities in the world.

This screening will be introduced by Jaime Lerner, the mayor of Curitiba responsible for the significant sustainable improvements in the quality of life in the city.  The screening will be followed by a panel discussion, led by Peter Jenkinson OBE, and with Jaime Lerner. We hope that the filmmakers will also take part.
