'Inquadrare il Moderno. Architettura e Fotografia in Italia 1926-1965'

Following a successful run at the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art in 2009, the exhibition 'Framing Modernism' is now travelling to MAXXI in Rome. Curated by the British Architectural Library Photographs Collection and consisting of around 120 period photographs, the exhibition investigates how the development of Italian Modernist architecture was recorded and shaped by photography and the part played by books and magazines, such as Domus and Casabella, in fostering this striking visual exploration.

The exhibition is supported by a generous grant from the Graham Foundation via British Schools and Universities Foundation, Inc.

Read the reviews and see images of the exhibition on RIBA Blogs.
