Architect in the House 2012
Architect in the House is the hugely successful fundraising initiative run by the RIBA and Shelter, in which RIBA chartered architects give up their time to offer hour-long consultations to the public in return for a £40 suggested donation to Shelter.
Now in its 16th year, Architect in the House has raised over £1.5 million for Shelter.
Whether it’s building an extension, knocking through a wall or a complete renovation, the scheme is a fantastic opportunity for homeowners to discuss their ideas with an RIBA chartered architect while raising money for Shelter’s work with homeless and badly housed families.
Homeowners and architects can register for Architect in the House from 16 April 2012 until 11 July 2012.
In 2012, for the first time, Architect in the House includes continuous matching – where homeowners are matched with architects regularly throughout the scheme.
To avoid missing out on consultations, the RIBA is urging its architects to register at the earliest possible opportunity from 16 April 2012.
