his fascinating film directed by Charles Correa charts the daily characteristics of the teeming city and outlines plans for a bold 'New Bombay' (Navi Mumbai) - a reimagined and rebalanced city on the water - 'that finest of things'.

Through rich archival footage and animation it brings to life the problems of the old colonial city and highlights the economic and life opportunities afforded by a new, thriving, multi-centred city for the future. Director Charles Correa, 1975.
