Director/Producer - Matthew Gandy, 2007
(Running time 30mins)

The tortuous flow of water through Mumbai presents one of the most striking indicators of social inequalities within the rapidly globalizing city. This film explores the complexity of water politics ranging from the engineering challenge of shifting 3,000 million litres of water a day from the jungles, lakes and mountains of the state of Maharashtra to debates over flooding, privatization and social conflict.

Based on a unique collaboration between film makers based in London and Mumbai, combining in-depth interviews with activists, engineers, local residents and other voices it paints a unique picture of this vibrant and fast changing city.
