2014 will see a summer to remember as the Tour de France begins in Yorkshire. To celebrate the Grand Depart Museums Sheffield has teamed up with Made North to create an original showcase for Yorkshire’s creative talent as part of the official cultural festival.Yorkshire in Yellow invites contemporary artists, designers, and creatives with a Yorkshire connection to design their own tribute to the ‘Maillot Jaune’ in the form of a yellow T shirt. From simple drawings or doodles, to more complex and detailed designs, the designs on display see Yorkshire’s creative community, alongside designers from around the globe, show off their skills using the yellow jersey as their canvas.Yorkshire in Yellow is a partnership between Museums Sheffield and Made North, a platform for northern designer/makers, and is part of the official Yorkshire Festival 2014, 100 days of art and culture.
