The RIBA Stirling Prize, given to the best building of the year, is one of the world’s most prestigious architecture awards. So, what does great architecture look like in 2014 and who are the people responsible? 

The shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize 2014 and line-up for this event includes; The Shard by Renzo Piano Building Workshop presented by Joost Moolhuijzen, the London Aquatics Centre by Zaha Hadid Architects presented by Jim Heverin, the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool by Haworth Tompkins presented by Steve Tompkins, the Manchester School of Art by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios presented by Keith Bradley, the LSE’s Saw Swee Hock Student Centre by O’Donnell + Tuomey Architects presnted by John Tuomey and the Library of Birmingham by Mecanoo presented by Francine Houben. Chaired by Hugh Pearman, editor of the RIBA Journal and architecture critic at the Sunday Times.
