Edward Burtynsky, one of Canada's most respected photographer/artists, is internationally acclaimed for his large-scale photographs of nature transformed by industry.
'Manufactured Landscapes' – a documentary by award winning director Jennifer Baichwal – follows Burtynsky to China, as he captures the effects of the country's massive industrial revolution. This remarkable film leads us to meditate on human endeavour and its impact on the planet.
David Buckland is a designer, artist and film-maker. In 2001 Buckland created and now directs the Cape Farewell project, whose ambition is to bring artists, scientists and educators together to address and raise awareness about climate change. They have sailed on three successful expeditions into the High Arctic aboard the schooner Noorderlicht.
Film screening followed by an onstage discussion.
