Description:
This year's Jencks Award winner Eric Owen Moss has, over 30 years, evolved a unique local grammar of architecture in Culver City, Los Angeles. Here he has created a modern vernacular that is at once creative, critical and evocative – showing a commitment to place and character that is rare if not unique.
The annual Jencks Award is given to an individual or practice that has made a major contribution to both the theory and the practice of architecture.
The lecture is chaired by Charles Jencks, designer, author and broadcaster.
