Modern architecture and industrial design were presented to a mass audience via photography and, most significantly, through publications.
Giorgio Casali, who for more than thirty years depicted architecture and design for Domus, was one of the foremost contributors in this field. The influence of his work provides a starting point for a Study Day on Architectural and Design Photography held at the Estorick Collection (morning session) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (afternoon sesssion).
Speakers include: Andrew Higgott (editor of Camera Constructs), Renzo Dubbini (Head of Architectural Construction, Conservation Department, Università IUAV di Venezia), Valeria Carullo (Curator, The Robert Elwall Photographs Collection, RIBA), Richard Bryant (architectural photographer) and Roberta Cremoncini (Director, Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art).
