Interested in joining a committee?

Being a part of a committee is a fantastic way of getting involved with RIBA North West and ensuring that local members' views and aspirations are embedded in our annual plans and activities.

We currently have four committees, all of which report into Regional Council. They are:

  • Communication
  • Education
  • Practice
  • Student

We are currently looking for enthusiastic members to join our committee structure. We would particularly like to identify members based in Lancashire and Cheshire, to ensure we have region-wide representation. If you're interested, we would love to hear from you.

Who can join?
To be eligible for selection, you must be a current individual member of the RIBA - Chartered, Associate, Affiliate or Student.

How much time is involved?
Committee members are required to attend a minimum of 4 meetings per year (each quarter, 2-3 hours). You will also be involved in regular email correspondence.

What's in it for you?
As a member of a committee you will be able to directly influence future RIBA decision-making, and help get involved with the many initiatives coordinated by the regional office. Although the role is voluntary, it will provide fantastic networking opportunities with like-minded professionals across a wide-range of sectors.

How to apply
Email Marc Heuston to express your interest and include a short summary (200 words) why you would like to be considered for the role.

The closing date for applications is Friday 12 February 2016.
