The RIBA Future Leaders programme delivers essential leadership training tailored to the needs and aspirations of architects. It specifically focuses on the skills required by early career professionals, seeking to step up in practice.
For 2017, the successful Future Leaders series has been developed into a comprehensive 3-part, 3 full-day format. Three individual days of training are spaced at two-month intervals: ‘Learning to Lead’, ‘Coming to the Fore’ (on communication and building your profile) and ‘Business and Innovation’.
Delivered by experienced senior practitioners, industry specialists and thought-leaders, Future Leaders provides applied rather than generic leadership training.
There is an emphasis on delegates acquiring key soft skills – such as communication, engagement, team leading, strategical thinking and negotiation – as well as learning from the invaluable know-how of some of the UK’s leading architects.
Delegates are given the opportunity to strengthen and share outcomes with a log folder and ‘Back in Practice Tool Box’ of useful resources and guidance.
