Hear from Brazil's most celebrated living architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha, as he delivers a unique public lecture to mark the occasion of his commendation as Royal Gold Medallist 2017.

Given in recognition of a lifetime's work, the Royal Gold Medal is approved personally by Her Majesty The Queen and is given to a person or group of people who have had a significant influence either directly or indirectly on the advancement of architecture.

As part of Royal Gold Medal Week 2017, sponsored by Arper, Mendes da Rocha will reflect on a prolific career that spans over six decades of architectural practice and teaching. The ticket price includes a beer or glass of wine at a drinks reception after the lecture.

Please note that this lecture will be delivered via professional simultaneous translation from Portuguese to English using headset equipment.

We are delighted to offer discounted tickets to RIBA Members, RIBA Student Members and RIBA Friends. Not a Member? Join now.
