LATE TUESDAY - 'Make No Small Plans'
Inspired by the idea of creating something from ‘nothing’ and starting from scratch, RIBA presents a special evening exploring big urban thinking on a blank canvas.
Selected from an open call, the 'Make No Small Plans' programme features fast-paced and dynamic selection of screenings (including a ‘Bring Your Own Beamer’ event), talks, active installations, readings and workshops, all from a wide range of professional and student architects, artists and curators. With special guest Alexander Eisenschmidt via Periscope video feed delivering a unique talk LIVE from Chicago, USA.

Part of a season of events including international speakers, inspired by Creation from Catastrophe – How Architecture Rebuilds Communities.
ABOUT LATE TUESDAYS
Late Tuesdays are the RIBA’s very own strand of ‘late’ programming and take place 3 times a year at our HQ Building at 66 Portland Place. Pitched at youthful design interested audiences of all kinds, Late Tuesdays are free to attend and now regularly attract crowds of 1,000 people making them among the largest events at the RIBA.
Each Late Tuesday is made up of a mixed programme of content with each element united by an over-arching theme. The tone or ‘buzz’ is informal and the evening fast paced and so the programme seeks to avoid standard talk/lecture formats, instead seeking short stories, quick bursts of activity and experiences that together contribute to a whole.
Content is learned and informed, yet easy to get and accessible for all. Late Tuesdays run from 6pm until 10pm with exhibitions and bars open all evening and programmed content typically taking place between 6.30pm and 9.30pm.
