The RIBA has appointed Sarah Williams, an accredited RIBA Client Adviser, to undertake a strategic review of the options for the future use of the RIBA’s headquarters at 66 Portland Place, London.

The appointment was made following an open call to all accredited RIBA Client Advisers.

66 Portland Place opened in 1934 as the headquarters of the RIBA. It is a beautiful building with a magnificent heritage and has special significance both to RIBA members and as a London landmark. The plan is to develop a vision for the next 80 years of the building’s use.

Sarah Williams, S.Williams Architects said:

Sarah will now work with the RIBA team to propose an initial consultation process with a full range of stakeholders. It is anticipated that this work will inform a subsequent competitive process to select an architect to develop the masterplan.
