Bradford House

As outlined in the Manningham Masterplan, the project showcases how existing buildings can be transformed into attractive and sustainable places to live.

Open Housing

Designed by Green Cities, Bradford House showcases how existing buildings can be transformed into attractive and sustainable places to live.

Two properties were redesigned in the Manningham area of Bradford – a large Victorian end terrace and a back to back property. The existing fabric of the houses was thermally upgraded to exceed new-build standards and thus reduce energy consumption. Water saving measures were incorporated and the Victorian terrace property features solar panels for hot water generation.

The redesigned properties demonstrate how existing buildings can become a sustainable and modern aspirational living environment by incorporating energy efficient and environmentally friendly design features.
