Waterfront development in Hull UK City of Culture

Hull is a city built around water, which brings opportunities and challenges. Whilst waterside living is seen as an attraction, the risk of flooding is something that needs addressing through good design.

Humber Quays West and Hull Arena is one of the city's most prestigious redevelopment opportunities, and design ideas are being sought for this major residential-led redevelopment to celebrate the waterfront city centre location. Water resilient development is a key priority, therefore design ideas should embrace the principles of ‘Living with Water’ and produce innovative designs to deal with flood risk.
