In 2010 ArchitecturePLB were selected to create a new Design and Technology Centre at Merchant Taylors’ School. The existing department had outgrown its workspace and did not offer adequate work areas.

The new building now provides state of the art facilities for the school’s Design and Technology department and was sensitively created to be in keeping with the adjacent Listed school buildings and the Metropolitan Green Belt landscape. The school is part of ArchitecturePLB’s 15-20 year master plan exercise for the campus, designed to provide new 21st century learning environments whilst respecting the historic context.
