Shortlisted teams unveiled for Moorside Open Design Competition.

The competition, open to qualified architects was launched 27 January 2016 and sought designs for a master plan, visitor centre, administration building and accommodation block.

The competition received a good response and the Judging Panel met on Friday 11 March to assess the designs anonymously and select a shortlist of six teams to proceed to the next stage of the competition.

The six shortlisted teams were then invited to present their ideas to the Judging Panel on Monday 11 April.

The shortlisted teams (in alphabetical order) are:

  • C.F Architects
  • Faulkner Brown Architects
  • Graeme Massie Architects
  • K2 Architects
  • Reiach and Hall Architects
  • William Matthews Associates

NuGen are now commencing a series of public consultation events where they will be seeking views from the general public on their future plans for the Moorside site.
