The main entrance area of the Royal Armouries building is referred to as The Street. The Street provides access to all of the Royal Armouries Museum exhibitions and various other facilities such as a shop, bistro and cafés.

The competition sought ideas for the redesign and redevelopment of a more visitor friendly entrance and Street area. The new design is clear, strong and informative to the visitor.
