As a RIBA Member, you show the world your commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards, have access to everyday practical resources to help develop the knowledge and skills you need and benefit from tools and insight that help grow your network and advance you career.
We’re also here to represent your views and focus on the issues that matter most to you. Working on your behalf in 2018 we have:
Built a better understanding of architects and architecture
From attracting a global audience of over 200 million through our partnership with the BBC for the RIBA Stirling Prize, to our landmark ‘Working with Architects’ client survey being promoted across the country.
Represented the voice of architects
We met with UK government ministers, MP’s and Peers to represent members in the debates that matter, from the Hackitt Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety and tackling the housing crisis, to representing members’ priorities on Brexit.
Ensured the next generation of architects is supported to drive our profession forward
Our Student Mentoring Scheme connected more than 1,000 students with over 570 RIBA Chartered Members across 345 practices. We also allocated over £200,000 through our scholarships, bursaries and Student Support Fund.
Set the standard for educational and professional excellence globally
We delivered over 230 Core CPD Programme events and 5,500 in-house seminars to 44,000 delegates through our CPD Providers Network.
Championed a collaborative construction industry
We worked with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) to host well attended events at the Labour and Conservative Party conferences.
Empowered our members to lead the standard for equality, diversity and inclusion in architecture
We set the standard for our 3,500 Chartered Practices to lead the way in creating a vision of equal opportunities for all and embedding equality and diversity objectives that benefit the tens of thousands of staff they employ.
To provide you with the resources you need, we are also investing in improving what you get for your membership subscription.
This is our commitment to you and to ensuring a strong profession in the future. Have a look at your renewals brochure for more details.
Providing support and development opportunities for all RIBA Members is at the heart of everything we do, and we will continue to build and improve on our core activities and services in 2019.
Together we can create a better future for architects and architecture and we look forward to welcoming you for another year and continuing to show the world the difference an architect and our profession makes.
