RIBA Elections

Elected by RIBA Members, RIBA Council acts as the representative body for the membership. Chaired by the RIBA President, it is responsible for collecting insight from the profession to guide the strategic direction of the organisation.

Below, you will find information about current, upcoming, and past elections for the RIBA President, RIBA Vice-President Membership and the RIBA Council. RIBA Elections are conducted under our Royal Charter, byelaws, regulations, and election rules.

As our elections draw closer, here are the key dates:

• 14 April – deadline to register as a RIBA member to vote
• 1 May – nominations open at 9am (BST)
• 15 May – nominations close at 4pm (BST)
• 21 May – candidates announced
• 17 June – voting opens - 9am (BST)
• 28 June – voting closes - 4pm (BST)
• 2 July – results announced
