About the practice

Arigho Larmour Wheeler is an award winning architectural practice with offices in both Belfast and Dublin. ALWA take pride in designing and delivering well-crafted buildings with a strong connection to their context and with particular consideration of issues of sustainability, heritage, and material. Established by Mark Arigho, Jane Larmour and Patrick Wheeler, ALWA have experience of working on a diverse range of projects from award-winning public, cultural, educational and commercial buildings to one-off private residences in the UK, Ireland and abroad for some of the leading design practices in both the North and South of Ireland. Committed to finding creative and pragmatic solutions, adding beauty and value to the projects they work on, fundamental to our practice is the belief that good architecture and design can enrich people's lives. The work of the practice has been recognised in being Finalists in the World Architecture Festival and Architectural Review Emerging Architecture Awards 2020-21, inclusion on the AJ 40 under 40 and director Jane Larmour winning the Royal Institute of Ireland Future Award 2020. Recent Awards include the Institute of Designers Ireland Awards for both Best House and Best Interiors 2022. The practice work has been widely published nationally and internationally.
