About the practice

BTP is an innovative, award-winning architectural practice based in Stockport. Founded in 1947, we offer specialist expertise in a wide variety of building types and are leaders in housing design, building reuse and conservation. We work nationally on projects of differing scales; from multimillion pound housing developments, through churches and historic buildings, to residential schemes and luxury houses, to schools and colleges. Our vision is to design for use and quality of space. We believe that good design should reflect the client brief along with its occupants’ expectations, whilst delivering high quality, low maintenance and robust schemes.
