The current site is run down and this development will offer an opportunity to rejuvenate the area. The proposals look to provide a mixed use development that will be well suited to the area. The proposal takes advantage of the street frontage to provide an active frontage for retail, nursery further within the site and housing for older people to the upper floors in the form of assisted living units supported by a scheme warden.
