Jonathan Freegard Architects have worked closely with the Client and development partners to design proposals for a Low Energy, Sustainable development of 8no. houses on the site of a former storage warehouse on Tredegar Square. Set within the architectural and historic character of the Square and surrounding Conservation Area, the proposals make best use of the existing long, narrow site and make a positive contribution to the area by replacing the existing industrial presence. The scheme has been designed for Code for Sustainable Homes rating level 3 and includes measures such as greywater recycling, lightweight construction and integrated Photovoltaic incorporated into the design. Work is due to start on site in August 2014.
