King’s Lynn and West Norfolk

Listed Building - Grade II
The Corn Exchange, King’s Lynn was built in 1854 with a replacement roof installed in 1877. Corn Exchange is a Grade ll listed building making a significant contribution to the rich architectural and historic character King’s Lynn. The building was remodelled in 1996 for use as a Theatre, Concert and Community Hall. McFarlane Latter have recently completed a renovation to create a two screen Cinema on the underused Upper Foyer. The principle design approach is to respect and enhance the character and key features of the historic building whilst creating additional cultural and leisure facilities to complement the Theatre activities. The proposal is to form two stepped auditoria, separate Cinema Foyer, toilets with a new staircase and lift access from the Ground Floor Foyer.
