Following restructuring of both United International Pictures and Paramount Pictures the companies moved to new offices at an innovative buisness park located at Chiswick Park. The brief was to produce a fresh, contemporary interior which reflected the modern, award awinning building structure and landscape, which would improve the working environment and create a sense of well being for all staff. McFarlane Latter Architects took a bold approach to the office design to create a stylish, flexible working environment which reflects their client's current and future buisness plans. The space created provides Paramount Pictures with an exciting and innovative UK headquarters. The new offices for over 280 people, includes a 54 seater Preview Theatre, Lounge/Bar and Cafe. The main contractor was appointed in mid March and the fit-out work commenced in early April with completion in October. The project is for a Category B fit out of over 50,000 sq ft. The building is set out on a 9m x 9m column grid with the exception of a 10.5m central bay running east-west. In addition there is a central core that extends from the under croft level to the roof. The building structure consists of a concrete frame with a concrete core. McFarlane Latter Architects worked closely with a number of consultants to provide a strong consulting team required to complete this project successfully.
