The school is a thriving village school with a successful record, based in a Grade 2 listed Victorian building. Despite this, the school's facilities were not adequate to meet the criteria required in modern schools. The first stage of the project was to establish a strategic development plan for the school to secure its future for the next 10 years. The plan was then broken down into phases to suit available funding and implemented over a period of 4 years. Phase 1 was the construction of 3 new classrooms for Foundation and Key Stage 1 pupils. Thes formed a new entrance and courtyard for the school, allowing a complete re-organisation of space within the original Grade II listed Victorian school building. Phase 2 was the re-organisation and restoration of the original Grade II listed Victorian school building. Phase 3 will be the construction of a new multi-purpose school hall and is awaiting funding.
