2nd Floor New Mill , Conway Mill , 5-7 Conway Street , Belfast , County Antrim , BT13 2DE , United Kingdom

An existing piece of vacant green space at the end of the terraced streets was identified by local people as a potential community resource. A group decided to adapt the space as a urban farmyard, and have since populated it with various crops, livestock and ad hoc erections and enclosures. The farm has since become a much–loved aspect of the neighbourhood, with inner city citizens waking to the evocative and stirring sound of a cock crowing. Local children are learning about life and food and gaining new skills and interests.
