The Ocean Water Sports Trust’s intention is to build a facility for water activities at Barry Docks. The site on the east end of the Mole, which is an area of land that juts out into the middle of No. 1 Dock. Because Barry and Barry Island rise up from The Dock, the site is the most visible site in Barry, and as such. The requirement is for the building to be if a suitable iconic design, that reflects it use and maybe the history of the location it is to be built in. This project was won by Richard Andrews Architects through a design competition run by the Ocean Water Sports Trust.
