The Scheme was granted planning approval in 2008. It is located in the heart of the Beaminster conservation area in West Dorset. The design comprises 3 timber pods, which are linked via glazed connections. Each pod has an external terrace and pergola above, with these external spaces all formed around mature oak trees giving a real sense of a house in the trees. The whole site is covered by a TPO but we have proposed a structural system, which minimises impact on tree roots. The house will use recycled timber, will have a sedum roof and be heated via a ground source heat pump. Project Size 2No 350sq.m. Credits Paul Silcox: CGI’s www.dragonfly-media.co.uk
