NOTES: This nondenominational charitable society was established to aid the Irish in London. The central block of the building contained residences of the master and mistress of the school with offices and committee rooms, and the wings contained schoolrooms - one wing for the girls and one for the boys. Today the building houses the London Nautical School. This image appeared in the 'Gentleman's Magazine', 1822 June, plate II before p. 497.
