NOTES: This drawing is numbered XII/11(A) recto in the Burlington-Devonshire Collection. The Arch of the Gavi was built in the first century AD to commemorate the Gavi family. The arch was demolished under French rule in 1805 and was rebuilt in 1932 on a new site.
