Notes NOTES: This drawing is numbered XII/11Av in the Burlington-Devonshire Collection. Its shows details of the orders from the Arch of Gavi, built in the first century AD to commemorate the Gavi family. The arch was demolished under French rule in 1805 and was rebuilt in 1932 on a new site. The architect of the arch was Lucio Vitruvio Cerdone, whose name is inscribed on the side.
