NOTES: This photograph is one of a number in an album known as the 'Goodchild Album', compiled by John Eastly Goodchild between 1889 and 1896, including documents dating from 1833 onwards, entitled `Reminiscences of my twenty-six years association with the late Professor C. R. Cockerell Esq. with a supplement of the late F. P. Cockerell Esq. to 1878'. The house was built for Goschen and the family remained there until 1920 when the house and grounds were sold. The house was demolished in 1923 to be replaced by a building designed by Sir Aston Webb for the Ballards School (now the Royal Russell School).
