NOTES: Markree Castle, despite the lettering on the drawing, is in County Sligo, not County Dublin. An existing house was enlarged and remodelled in 1802 in a romantic Gothic style by Francis Johnston and further remodelled in the 1860s. It is unclear whether the designs here were ever carried out.
