Notes NOTES: The original Elizabethan manor house, completed in 1578, was gutted by fire in 1912 and many of its original features were destroyed. It was then carefully restored for the second time under the direction of Detmar Blow. Important additions, such as this clock tower, were made in the same style by Thomas Darcy Braddell.
