Palazzo del sigr Augustino Palavicino in Strada Nuova (now Palazzo Cambiaso Pallavicini, via Giuseppe Garibaldi 1), Genoa: elevation

NOTES: This palazzo was built for Augusto Pallavinino. The drawing is one of a series executed in an unidentified Italian hand, collected by Peter Paul Rubens and published in engraved form in his book 'I Palazzi di Genova' (Antwerp, 1622). The publication was divided into two parts: 'Palazzi Antichi' (where this particular print appears as Fig. 68) and 'Palazzi Moderni'. Subsequent additions appeared in 1652 and 1663 and the book was Rubens' only work on pure architecture.
