NOTES: This drawing is numbered XI/20 recto in the Burlington-Devonshire Collection. The left side of the sheet shows a reconstructed elevation of the Temple of Saturn (built c. 501-498 BC). The right side of the drawing shows the Temple of Venus Genetrix, dedicated by Julius Caesar in 46 BC. Both drawings are studies for plates in Andrea Palladio's Quattro libri dell'architettura (Venice, 1570), Libro IV, f.125 [left] and f.130 [right].
