NOTES: The abbey is located on the highest point of the island and was built between the 11th and 13th centuries. The Romanesque abbey church was designed by William of Volpiano in the 11th century, the choir of which collapsed in 1421. It was replaced with one in Flamboyant Gothic style in 1456-1521.
