Board School, Blackheath Road, Greenwich, London: the gabled facade

NOTES: E. R. Robson was chief architect for the School Board of London established in 1871 following the Elementary Education Act of 1870. He was responsible for the design of several hundred schools in London. This is a good example of his early school building the style of which was considered extremely progressive for the time.
