NOTES: This chromolithograph shows the fountain designed by John Thomas and executed by Minton Hollins & Co which stood over 10 metres tall. The print was created for the issue of the Illustrated London News of 30 August 1862. After the exhibition the fountain went into storage and was re-erected in Bethnal Green at the Museum of Childhood when it opened in 1872. It was dismantled and sold off in bits in 1962.
